Generally, magic is a staple of the series as a whole, appearing in almost every Elder Scrolls game in some form or another. It's divided into several different schools, though only eight of them receive primary focus throughout the franchise: Illusion, Alteration, Destruction, Conjuration, Restoration, Mysticism, Thaumaturgy, and Enchanting.
